Psalm 119:161–176

ש Sin and Shin

¹⁶¹Rulers persecute me^q without cause,

but my heart trembles^r at your word.

¹⁶²I rejoice^s in your promise

like one who finds great spoil.^t

¹⁶³I hate and detest^u falsehood

but I love your law.^v

¹⁶⁴Seven times a day I praise you

for your righteous laws.^w

¹⁶⁵Great peace^x have those who love your law,

and nothing can make them stumble.^y

¹⁶⁶I wait for your salvation,^z Lord,

and I follow your commands.

¹⁶⁷I obey your statutes,

for I love them^a greatly.

¹⁶⁸I obey your precepts^b and your statutes,^c

for all my ways are known^d to you.

give me understanding^f according to your word.^g

¹⁷⁰May my supplication come^h before you;

deliver meⁱ according to your promise.^j

¹⁷¹May my lips overflow with praise,^k

for you teach me^l your decrees.

¹⁷²May my tongue sing^m of your word,

for all your commands are righteous.ⁿ

¹⁷³May your hand be ready to help^o me,

for I have chosen^p your precepts.

¹⁷⁴I long for your salvation,^q Lord,

and your law gives me delight.^r

¹⁷⁵Let me live^s that I may praise you,

and may your laws sustain me.

¹⁷⁶I have strayed like a lost sheep.^t

Seek your servant,

for I have not forgotten^u your commands.
